Countrywide Financial Corporation: Dustin DiMisa

Before becoming the founder of ICG, Dustin DiMisa worked in the Full Spectrum Lending Division of Countrywide Financial Corporation.  The company writes, sells and services single-family home mortages through its Countrywide Bank. Incidentally, they were bought by Bank of America Corporation in 2008 and are now the mortgage arm of Bank of America.

While Dustin DiMisa was working for Countrywide Financial Corporation, he was responsible for all of the monthly pre-approvals that totaled about $10 million in single-family mortgage loans.  He was part of the President’s Council, which is an advisory board that includes senior offices and managers.

In addition to offering mortgages for single family homes, Countrywide Financial Corporation also have home equity loans, commercial mortgages, subprime mortgages and many other activities.  It has life, property, casualty and reinsurance products with Balboa Insurance Group.  They have a staggering 660 branches throughout the United States .

After working in the Full Spectrum Lending Division from 2002 to 2005, Dustin DiMisa was recruited by Mortgage Line Financial Corp. which is a residential mortgage lender.  He moved on to this company to manage and market their FHA product line.
